Miller Theatre, and Music Director George Steel begin a daring and ambitious series of twelve commissions for large ensemble with soloists. Called the Pocket Concertos for their size and ease of use, the works will be performed by the newly formed Gotham Sinfonietta. The Pocket Concertos series will be presented in three concerts, one each season, for the next three years.
The first concert is April 22nd, and features world premieres by Benedict Mason, John Musto, Ichizo Okashiro, Julia Wolfe.
